Yu-Gi-Oh! formats decide three things: which cards are legal, how many copies of each you can play, and which rules the duel runs on. YGO Omega runs all of them in the same client, so you can play today's TCG list in one duel and the 2005 GOAT format in the next without installing anything else.
Only two formats have ranked ladders: TCG and Genesys. The others are open for casual duels, manual play and tournaments.
